China Coal Energy sales increased in October

China’s second largest coal producer China Coal Energy reported an increase in coal sales at 13.7m tonnes in October, up 6% m-o-m and up 28.1% y-o-y. This takes the coal sales to 128.8m tonnes over the Jan.-October period, up 21.3m tonnes or 19.9% y-o-y.

Coal production fell by 3.9% m-o-m to 6.1m tonnes in October, although this is still 4.1% higher y-o-y. This takes the coal output to 62m tonnes, down 2.7m tonnes or 4.2% y-o-y.
