Thailand’s power generation reached 17.5TWh in July, down 0.6% m-o-m but still was 2.6% higher y-o-y. Coal-fired generation increased to 3.2TWh, up 1.8% m-o-m and up 1.7% y-o-y. Gas-fired generation fell to 9.9TWh, down 2.7% m-o-m but still was 1.5% higher y-o-y.
Hydro power generation increased to 0.6TWh, up 0.1% m-o-m and up 51.4% y-o-y. Power generation from other renewable sources increased to 1.6TWh, up 2% m-o-m and up 29.5% y-o-y.
Thailand generated 118.9TWh of power over the first 7 months of the year, up 1.2% y-o-y. Coal-fired generation increased to 21.9TWh, up 1.1% y-o-y; whereas gas-fired generation fell to 67.6TWh, down 3.5% y-o-y.
Hydro power generation increased to 4.3TWh, up 45.6% y-o-y. Power generation from other renewables increased to 10.5TWh, up 20% y-o-y.
