Coal output at China’s second largest state owned mining company, China Coal Energy, fell to 6.1m tonnes in July, down 4.7% m-o-m and down 10.4% y-o-y. This takes the coal output to 42.9m tonnes over the Jan.-July period, down 2.8m tonnes or 6% y-o-y.
On the other hand, company’s sales increased to 14.5m tonnes in July, up 0.3% m-o-m and up 19.1% y-o-y. This takes the sales to 89.5m tonnes over the first 7 months of the year, up 15.9m tonnes or 21.6% y-o-y.
