Russian coal production totalled 35.4m tonnes in November, down 3% m-o-m but still was 4.4% higher y-o-y. This takes the coal output to 371.7m tonnes over the first 11 months of the year, up 22.9m tonnes or 6.6% y-o-y.
Fall in coal production in November affected coal exports, which decreased by 6.8% m-o-m to 15.3m tonnes last month; although still were 10.9% higher y-o-y. Russia exported 170.6m tonnes over the first 11 months of the year, up 20.8m tonnes or 13.9% y-o-y.
