Turkish steam coal imports totalled 2.8m tonnes in September, down 19% m-o-m but still were 9.8% y-o-y. Russian deliveries increased to 1.3m tonnes, up 4.4% m-o-m and up 61.25 y-o-y. On the other hand, Colombian supplies decreased to 1.2m tonnes, down 32.2% m-o-m and down 17.8% y-o-y. Imports from South Africa totalled 240KT, down from 380KT delivered in August but still was higher than 70KT supplied in September 2016.
Turkey imported 22.7m tonnes over the Jan.-Sept. period, up 820KT or 3.8% y-o-y. Russian supplies increased to 9.1m tonnes, up 700KT or 8.4% y-o-y; while Colombian deliveries increased to 11.8m tonnes, up 990KT or 9.25 y-o-y. On the other hand, imports from South Africa decreased to 1.2m tonnes, down 620KT or 34.1% y-o-y.
