Coal inventories at the European ARA terminals (Amsterdam-Rotterdam-Antwerp) increased to just over 5m tonnes as of 16 October, up 1.4% w-o-w and up 15.7% y-o-y. This includes coal stocks at the two largest terminals EMO and OBA, which remained unchanged from the previous week at 2.3m tonnes and 1.82m tonnes respectively, up 26.8% y-o-y and up 25.5% y-o-y.
OVET’s inventories increased to 460KT, up 17.9% w-o-w and were unchanged y-o-y.
Inventories at EBS declined to 230KT, down 4.2% w-o-w and down 14.8% y-o-y. ABT reported stocks at 210KT, up 5% w-o-w but still 41.7% lower y-o-y.
