Coal stocks at ARA terminals increased to nearly 5Mt (9 Oct.), up 3.1% w-o-w

Coal inventories at ARA terminals (Amsterdam-Rotterdam-Antwerp) increased to nearly 5m tonnes (4.95Mt) as of 9 October, up 3.1% w-o-w and up 17.2% y-o-y.

Coal stocks at the two largest terminals EMO and OBA reached 4.1m tonnes. This includes stocks at EMO, which remained steady at 2.3m tonnes, unchanged w-o-w but still 27.8% higher y-o-y. Stocks at OBA increased to 1.8m tonnes, up 2.8% m-o-m and up 33.8% y-o-y.

Coal inventories at OVET increased to 390KT, up 50% w-o-w but still were 7.1% lower y-o-y.

Stocks at EBS declined to 240KT, down 4% w-o-w and down 15.8% y-o-y; while inventories at ABT decreased to 200KT, down 9.% w-o-w and down 44.4% y-o-y.
