Coal inventories at China’s North Eastern Bohai Sea ports increased to 13.7m tonnes as of 11 September, up 1% w-o-w and up 56.3% y-o-y . This includes coal stocks at China’s largest coal hub, Qinhuangdao, which increased to 5.6m tonnes, up 1.6% w-o-w and up 117.1% y-o-y.
Stocks at Jingtang Port totalled 3.2m tonnes, down 2.8% w-o-w but still were 43.3% higher y-o-y. Inventories at Caofeidian Port increased to 3.1m tonnes, up 4.4% w-o-w and up 109.5% y-o-y. Similarly, stocks at Huanghua Port raised to 1.6m tonnes, up 0.6% w-o-w and up 45.8% y-o-y.
