Polish power generation increased in July

Polish power generation increased to 13.2TWh in July, up 3.9% m-o-m and up 1.9% y-o-y. Coal-fired generation totalled 6.2TWh, up 3.7% m-o-m but still was 1.4% lower y-o-y. Lignite-fired generation increased to 4.8TWh, up 12.9% m-o-m and up 0.8% y-o-y. Gas-fired generation increased to 0.6TWh, up 7.9% m-o-m and up 84.8% y-o-y.

Polish electricity output increased to 96.2TWh over the first 7 months of the year, up 3.8% y-o-y. Coal-fired generation declined to 46.2TWh, down 1.9% y-o-y. On the other hand, lignite-fired generation increased to 31.3TWh, up 8.6% y-o-y. Gas-fired generation increased to 3.7TWh, up 16% y-o-y.
