Coal stocks at the Bohai Sea ports increased by 0.6% w-o-w as of 28 August

Coal stocks at Bohai Sea ports increased to 14.7m tonnes as of 28 August, up 0.6% w-o-w and up 39.2% y-o-y. This includes coal stocks at China’s largest coal hub, Qinhuangdao Port, totalled 5.5m tonnes, down 3.9% w-o-w but still were 109.2% higher y-o-y.

Coal inventories at Caofeidian Port increased to 2.9m tonnes, up 2.8% w-o-w and up 90.1% y-o-y; while coal stocks at Jingtang Port increased to 2.9m tonnes, up 8.6% w-o-w ad up 34.7% y-o-y.

Coal stocks at Huanghua Port remained unchanged w-o-w at 1.5m tonnes as of 28 August, up 5.6% y-o-y.
