Coal inventories at Europe’s ARA (Amsterdam-Rotterdam-Antwerp) terminals declined by 120KT w-o-w to 5.30 m tonnes as of 28 August, down 2.2% w-o-w but still were 51% higher y-o-y.
Over the past week, ARA terminals received coal deliveries largely from Russia, Australia and the US.
Coal inventories at Amsterdam’s OBA terminal remained unchanged w-o-w at 2m tonnes and still were 73.9% higher y-o-y.
Coal stocks at Rotterdam’s EMO terminal declined to 2.6m tonnes as of 28 August, down 3.7% w-o-w but still were 52.9% higher y-o-y.
Stocks at Rotterdam’s EBS terminal rose to 150KT on 28 August from 120KT in the week prior, while stocks at OVET’s Vlissingen terminal fell to 300KT, down 14.3% w-o-w but still were 30.4% higher y-o-y.
Coal stocks at Antwerp’s ABT terminal were steady at 250KT on 28 August, unchanged w-o-w and were 10.7% lower y-o-y.
