Indonesian coal production may fall to 420m tonnes in 2017

Indonesian Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources estimated that coal production in 2017 may decline by as much as 35 m tonnes to 420m tonnes. This is down from 455m tonnes produced last year. Indonesian miners struggled to meet their targets since the beginning of the year because of poor weather conditions and frequent flooding. Some of them were forced to declare force majeure.
