Chinese iron ore imports rebound in May

Chinese iron ore imports rebound from April’s deep at 82.2m tonnes (down 1.2% y-o-y) to 91.5m tonnes in May, up 11.3% m-o-m and up 5.5% y-o-y. This is still below the 15-month record high achieved in March, at 95.6m tonnes.

China imported 444.8m tonnes of iron ore over the first 5 months of the year, up 8.1% y-o-y.
