CEA: Indian power genenration increased to 107.1TWh in May, up 7.3% y-o-y

According to the latest data from the CEA, Indian power generation increased to 107.1TWh, up 3.7% m-o-m and up 7.3% y-o-y. Thermal power output increased to 91.5TWh, up 2.1% m-o-m and up 6.6% y-o-y. Hydroelectric output went up to 12.4TWh, up 21.4% m-o-m and up 14.8% y-o-y.

Indian total power generation increased to 496.3TWh over the first 5 months of the year, up 4.2% y-o-y. Thermal power generation increased to 436.8TWh, up 3.3% y-o-y. Hydroelectric generation increased to 43.4TWh, up 14.9% y-o-y.
