Chinese crude steel output increased to 72.3Mt in May, up 1.8% y-o-y

According to the latest data produced by the National Bureau of Statistics, Chinese crude steel production reached to 72.3m tonnes in May, down 0.7% m-o-m but still was 1.8% higher y-o-y. This takes the crude steel output to 345.9m tonnes over the first 5 months of the year, up 13m tonnes or 3.9% y-o-y.
